The Ridgefield Garden Club is a diverse mix of active and dynamic members who are young parents and grandparents, empty nesters and singles.   We are artists and designers, master gardeners and novice gardeners, conservationists, farmers, community and school volunteers, town officials, business owners and teachers.

All Members Share:

  • A thirst for knowledge and a love of plants and gardening
  • An interest in conservation, the protection of all natural resources, native plants and wildlife
  • A desire to contribute to and beautify the Ridgefield community
  • Pride in our club and its history in Ridgefield

Club Activities:

  • Monthly meetings featuring guest speakers
  • Preservation of Ballard Gardens and Greenhouse
  • Workshops on Conservation, horticulture and design
  • Joint sponsorship of May Plant Sale
  • Visiting Gardens
  • Affiliation with Federated and Garden Clubs of America
  • Scholarships awarded annually to students pursuing botany or ecology
